Process

Our forming process involves multiple “heats” in a coal or propane fired forge, depending on the stock and time frame involved. On the coal forge, both an electric and manual air induction fan is used to attain desired forge temperatures. Through the process of heating, hammering, forming and bending, the product is manufactured while the metal is in a malleable state. Once it starts to cool, it is then wire brushed to remove scale formed during the heat process. Depending on the metal used, the end result is often a soft silvery white look that has a timeless and beautiful luster.

Various final finishes are used to give the products the appearance the customer desires. These methods include clear urethanes, beeswax, matte or satin paint sheens which accomplishes that soft, warm look and enhances the overall appearance. Flexibility is maintained in our finishes to satisfy the custom needs of our clients.
